HAVING TROUBLE!

i AM HAVING TROUBLE GOING TO OR STAYING ON OTHER BLOGS?

Foodie Friday

 

In Old Town Cottonwood, not far from Sedona, we found the Old Town Cafe.

 

They served Breakfast and Lunch.

 

 

We got there about 10:00am our first trip and I had my first Chai Latte.

We returned several days later for lunch.

They serve huge wonderful salads and sandwiches.

 

AND BEST OF ALL….DESSERTS

THEY WERE ABSOLUTELY THE MOST BEAUTIFUL ONES I HAVE EVER SEEN!

I wanted to bring the lady that  makes all these salads and desserts back to Jewett and open a Tea Room.

Outdoor Wednesday

This is my first time to participate in Outdoor Wednesday, so I thank Susan at A Southern Day Dreamer for allowing me share these pictures.

 

 

This is a map or our float trip down the Colorado river from Glen Canyon Dam to Lee’s Landing.

This is Glen Canyon Dam. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It was a 3 hour drive one way to get to the Dam to begin our 4 hour float which included a narrated trip and lunch on the shore. Our guide was very informative and she made our trip very interesting. Although it was a long day…starting with a 6:15 am  pick up, we returned home about 6:30pm, we still recommend this trip. There was a lot of sun, but we had great sun screen so we were not burned.

Blue Monday

I wanted to  share some pictures of our vacation with you …..the balloon has blue  on it.

 

It is about 5:00 am and the balloon and basket arrive at launch site in this trailer.

 

They are getting the basket ready, attaching gas blowers.

 

Balloon is first filled with air from fans.

 

In these two pictures air is being heated to complete filling.

As balloon fills and rises the basket is turn up so we can load.

After the ride, there is a small brunch and each passenger receives their Diploma from the College of Hot Air Knowledge.

It was a beautiful morning and the sunrise from a balloon over the red rocks of Sedona is a breathtaking experience.

Saturday.........Should be home by 10:00pm

It has been restfull and we have had a great time......but it is TIME to go home and see all our aminals and friends and thank Jackie and Tommye for taking care of everyone.

HEADED HOME TOMORROW!

We have had a great time and have gotten lots of rest, but I am ready to go home and see my animals and be able to post and check all the other blogs.

We will arrive in Houston at 6:35pm tomorrow and it will be 10:00pm for sure before we are home.

I will resume blogging on Monday.....See you then.

Having a Great Relaxing Time

I am so surprised to be able to post, I don't know where to begin.

So far all our activities have been just visiting small towns around Sedona, but we have found some great surprises.......great food, beautiful little shops and very friendly people.

Yesterday we started in old town in Cottonwood, it was early so only one shop was open and it was a rock store..very interesting and then found a small cafe with the best food and I had a great hot drink.....will have to check on it today, we are going back for lunch.

Then on to Jerome, where we made several purchases and finally to Prescott for a late lunch and a quick walk around the town square.

Our only planned events are on Wednesday ....A Hot Air Balloon ride which we love and on Thurs rafting thru Glen Canyon .

Most of the other things here we have done and since this is my fourth trip, we came this time to rest and relax.....and just bum around. We are doing just that and having a good time.

Will show pictures and give more details when we get home, since this is one of the few times I have been able to post.

For Some Unknow Reason

I am very limited as to what I can do on my blog.......so rather than become more frustrated than I am already, I will just wait until I return to post anything about the trip. I can't believe I am even writing this and just pray it will post. Have a great week!

My mother is no longer here with me except in all the beautiful memories I have.  My mother loved my brother and me, but she loved her three grandchildren beyond words.

Every once in a while I think, Oh, I need to tell that to mother….but I know she already knows.
