Please visit Sally at Smiling Sally for more Blue Monday blogs. Thanks Sally for hosting this fun day.
I wanted to share some pictures of our vacation with you …..the balloon has blue on it.
It is about 5:00 am and the balloon and basket arrive at launch site in this trailer.
They are getting the basket ready, attaching gas blowers.
Balloon is first filled with air from fans.
In these two pictures air is being heated to complete filling.
As balloon fills and rises the basket is turn up so we can load.
We are ready!
This is a picture of the other balloon as it lifts off
The other balloon.
After the ride, there is a small brunch and each passenger receives their Diploma from the College of Hot Air Knowledge.
It was a beautiful morning and the sunrise from a balloon over the red rocks of Sedona is a breathtaking experience.
Hope you enjoyed the trip and have a Happy Blue Monday.
Hugs from Home,
Barbara
Looks like a lot of fun and I bet the views are breathtaking! AZ has some beautiful places.

Up up and away!!!! I've always wanted to do this! How magical!
ReplyDeleteThe College of Hot Air Knowledge...lol.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a good time! We had a balloon land on the road in front of our house a year or so ago. It was quite fun. I felt a bit bad for the cows who were traumatized. Not sure their milk was quite as good that day.
A hot air balloon ride is on my bucket list. I've attended a few balloon launches in Binghamton, New York at their Spedie Fest. It is an awsome site to see so many balloons in the sky. I'm sure the area where you went was marvelous.
ReplyDeleteThey are so pretty to watch, but I am too chicken to ride. My resolve not to do so was confirmed when my friend had a bad landing and one of the passengers got a broken arm. Yikes!
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to do that! It looks like so much fun and the balloons are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lot of fun! Cindy
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine the beautiful views from that balloon!! Fun!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a wonderful vacation! Happy Blue Monday ~ Susan
ReplyDeleteWow!! How awesome was that? I can only imagine the views. You are a brave woman, I couldn't do it, I'd be passed out on the floor from my fear of heights, but that had to have been incredible, love the pics!

My parents often took us kids to go watch the hot air balloon lift offs at a park in St. Louis. Your post brought back many great memories!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blue Monday,
Valerie
My hubby would love to go up in one of those; not me, I prefer to keep my feet on the ground. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Happy Blue Monday.

ReplyDeleteHow wonderful! I love Sedona and can't wait to visit again. It looks like you had a blast and now I'll look into booking "passage" for my hubbs and I. I know he'd love it!
ReplyDeleteYou couldn't pay me to go in one of those things, but I love to watch them float in the sky!
ReplyDeleteOh, what fun! Happy Blue Monday
ReplyDeleteA balloon ride is such fun and Sedona is such a gorgeous place. So glad you are having fun. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous! It is one of my "bucket list" items to go up in a hot air balloon, but I can't get anyone to go with me!
ReplyDeleteUp up and away your beautiful balloon!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blue Monday ,
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful vacation .
Wow and a Dipolma too :)
What a fun class .
How very cool to fly up over the gorgeous landscapes and see all those amazing views of the great southwest as you float merrily along.Thaks for sharing this was great !!!!
Have a blessed week.
Oh, wow! How fantastic. I've always wanted to ride in a hot air balloon.
ReplyDeleteI would love to be brave enough to
ReplyDeletebe flying in a hot air balloon. I would be afraid that I would have to have them set it down after we got a few feet in the air, and that would make some people a little upset at me...don't you think? So I would stay on the ground taking photos of them foating away...
I bet that is a lot of fun and very exciting. Glad you had a nice time, I don't think I would have enough nerve to do that.
ReplyDeleteWhat an adventure, Barbara! Thank you for sharing it with us ... that's probably as close as I'll ever get to a balloon ride. I'm so glad you enjoyed your vacation. Sedona is truly an amazing, as well as beautiful, place.
ReplyDeleteThe pictures are beautiful. We see a lot of hot air balloons around here during the spring and summer. I think they are awesome.
