Vintage Thingies Thursday

This is my first time to participate in Vintage Thingies Thursday hosted by the fabulous Suzanne at Coloradolady.blogspot.com., who I might just add lives in TEXAS.

Thanks Suzanne and we understand if you still like Colorado, just as long as you stay in Texas.

This old tea pot belonged to my Mother and she got it from someone else, so I would estimate the age as 80 years old and probably more.  We used it every Sunday and I always wanted to make the tea.  It was crackled then, just as you see it now.

It says it was hand painted in Japan.  The colors have never changed.  I have treasured this teapot and carried it with me.  One day my daughter will do the same.  I have never seen another like it, but if any else has and knows anything about it, please let me know.

Happy Thursday to everyone, I am off again to Houston, so I will be late visiting your blog again.

  3. Welcome Purple Goat Lady.
This is kind of an amazing tea pot. The colors, the shape and the fact that it looks so old. I just don't recognize the style. Does it have any markings anywhere on it? I would guess it might be American because of the style but I really don't know.

I have goats but we give them names and they clear grass and brush for us. Purple Goat?
