New Babies/ Cold Weather/ Taking a Break

The Nannies always seem to wait until it is cold, raining, sleeting or snowing to start having babies.

It is cold and has been raining and we now have 12 babies.

We got three rolls of hay and there is feed in the bulk feeder, so that is all we can do.  I worry when I see those little babies out in the cold following their mothers, but Roy says that is how it has always been and they will be fine.  I would like to bring them all in the house and keep them warm….lol.

Roy is headed to Llano to go hunting today and Sharon and I are headed to College Station to a new doctor for her and her very painful and long lasting sore or ulcer way down in her throat.  We must find out what is wrong and how to cure it.  She is suffering, unable to eat or sleep, and losing weight.

I am way behind in everything, Christmas, balancing check books, straightening Frou Frou house,  taking food to charity, stuff to Goodwill, wrapping packages and mailing Christmas cards.   I don’t even have a tablescape for tomorrow!

SO  WITH ALL THIS SAID, I AM  TAKING A BREAK!

Hope to be back next Monday for Blue Monday or something……hope everyone has a wonderful end of week  and a great weekend.

Hugs,

Take your break and destress, Barbara. I'm happy for the baby goats, sad for Sharon, and glad to hear you're hunting some new knowledge to help her.

Dear Barbara:
I'll miss you until your return. In the meantime, I'll have good thoughts for you and your friend Sharon. Safe travels...and also for your new babies. May they all grow and thrive. Looking forward to your next post.

Dear Barbara, TAKE A BREAK and relax if you can. Twelve new baby goats. I do hope they all survive too
Barbara. I see baby calves following their mamas in the fields here. I too wonder how they stay warm. Life on a farm is hard in the winter. I remember helping my dad in the winter feeding the animals and so on. I was just a little girl as were my sisters and brother. I understand why we moved to Fl. for warmth and sunshine.

I do hope Sharon can find out about her ulcer too. You must find out and quickly. Prayers for her and you my dear blogging friend.

Christmas love and concern coming your way today.

Hi Barbara. You deserve a break!

I hope it's not too cold down there right now. My son is camping in Centerville. Brrr!!

I hope you can find out what is wrong so Sharon can have some relief.

Sometimes real life has to come first. I did a few articles ahead of time so that I could post a few things over the holidays and hopefully read a few things too. I hope Sharon finds out what is wrong...that sounds very uncomfortable.

It sounds like you've got your hands full, Barbara. I hope you and Sharon have a safe trip, and she gets encouraging news and something to ease her pain.

Best wishes for your new babies, too. I'm sure their mamas know what to do to keep them safe.

Take care and get some rest so you can enjoy the holidays.
