Tablescape Thursday/ An a Big Thank You!

TT

Oh, what fun to fix a Christmas tablescape and then journey around and see all the other ones.  Thanks as always to Susan for hosting this wonderful day!

Before I show my pictures, I would like to take a minute to say many, many thanks to all the kind and loving comments I received about my Mama Goat and the babies.

I am sure some people have missed the opportunity to have  love for an animal and that is a real shame.  They bring such joy to your life and love unconditionally. Thanks blogger friends.

Salad Plates came from a Goodwill Store for $1.00 each.

Green Tree Glasses from the Dollar Store several years ago.

Pink Taffeta place mats and napkins came from either Joske’s or Dillard’s many years ago.

I have been buying the hurricane globes at Goodwill, etc., whenever I see them.

The white plates came fro TJX (max), for 2.00 a piece.

Hope you all have a great weekend, Sharon, Roy and I are off first thing tomorrow for Galveston and Dickens on the Strand.

We have snow predicated for tomorrow even as far down as the coast.  It will not stay on the ground, but it will be pretty driving down south.

See you next week.

Absolutely Stunning! Love the pink for Christmas, and the centerpiece with the beds - the candles, well everything! It's like a fairytale fantasy Christmas. What a festive table. Beautiful! Just Beautiful!!!

Hi Barbara, your tablescape is so beautiful. I LOVE the pink. Your dishes are so pretty and easy on the budget. Who would ever guess. Not me. Oh how I love the thrift stores and discount stores. Most of all I love a bargain. Look at all the beauty of your table and tell me you can't grace a table for company with very little cost. Yes you can. No pun intended. re: Obama. I am waiting to be able to say he is a good president. The jury is still out in my home. I didn't meant to get political. sigh.

Again I am so sorry about your losses with your goats. I am glad you are taking a trip. You need the distraction right now.

I posted the blanket today. I love it so much. Thank you once again.

Be safe, Jeanne

Barbara, this is just beautiful! You have done a beautiful job with the pink...it is soooo pretty. I'm sorry to hear about your goats (just found out) we have lost several sheep in the last few weeks to the neighbors dogs....always when my hubby is out of town and I have to pick up or clean up the mess. Argggg....anyhow it is rough losing your animals..I'm really sorry about it.
Blessings,

Hi, precious... you are pretty in pink today! And I'm so glad you're feeling better.

I always love a pink table. A couple of my friends do pink at Christmas, and I find it fun and festive.

You really did good on the prices, too, Barb! I need to go shopping with you.

XO,

Sheila :-)

Hi Barbara! Oh, I'm so sorry we didn't get to meet! :( I had written you on one of your posts and sent you my email. When I didn't hear from you I thought maybe y'all weren't coming! Shoot! I guess we just got our wires crossed. Glad you enjoyed Dickens. I wasn't able to go this year.
I'm still feeling sad for you about loosing your mama and little precious baby goats!
I hope you took some pictures of your time in Galveston and will post them! :)
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

I think what you posted made a bunch of sense.
But, what about this? what if you typed a catchier title?
I mean, I don't wish to tell you how to run your blog, however what if you added a title to possibly grab folk's attention?
I mean "Tablescape Thursday/ An a Big Thank You!" is kinda vanilla.
You might glance at Yahoo's front page and see how they write article headlines to grab people to click. You might try adding a video or a related picture or two to grab people excited about everything've written.
Just my opinion, it would bring your posts a little bit more interesting.
