Here we are again adding our names to the list Susan has provided for us to show our tablescapes. Be sure to check out that list at Between Naps on the Porch.
This isn’t the tablescape I intended to show, I had my final Halloween table, but the pictures were terrible and I had already taken it down and started working on this one, so here it is.
My new table is still in the living room, because we are waiting to take the old one to the lake house if no one wants to buy it. It looks a bit crowded…sorry!
The center piece, I added glitter, bow and pine cones. Pumpkin and ribbon from Michael’s.
Placemats and napkins are from Wal Mart and the placemats are silver on the other side.
The napkin rings are Waterford and the pattern is Alana and some are signed by the artist.
Two sets of the candleholders are Waterford and others were found in an Antique Shop in Athens.
The crystal is Waterford Lismore, the goblet, red wine and white wine.
I love the pearl rings around the candles, I got those at a local store called the Checkered Churn, but she has since moved to College Station.
My Sterling ware is Golden Aegean Weave by Wallace from 1971.
My China is Eclipse by Lenox.
I think when Roy comes home from his week on next time, we will have a meal on this table. He loves it. I will have to come up with a menu , Oh Dear!
As you can see I love Waterford Crystal and been fortunate to be able to purchase quite a few pieces. Recently I had a very bad experience on EBay when purchasing a Ship’s Decanter from an individual. I already had one, but was going to purchase this one for my daughter. I bid on it for about a week and finally bought it for what I thought was a good price along with 5 cordials. Well when the decanter arrived, I immediately realized it was a fake……not only was it in terrible condition, but it did not have the Waterford name on it and there were bubbles and dents in the glass on the bottom. I immediately notified Pay Pal and packed the stuff up and returned it to the seller. After investigating the case, Pay Pal refunded all my money. My only expense was to return the stuff to the seller and that was a small price to pay. ALWAYS USE PAY PAL.
SO BEWARE OF FRAUDS OUT THERE ON EBAY AND I AM AFRAID THAT THEY WILL GET WORSE SINCE OUR ECOMONY IS IN THE TOLIET!
HAPPY TABLESCAPE THURSDAY!
