Our adventure started about 10:00 am when Sharon drove in and presented me with this wonderful Easter Plate for the lake house. We decided to go in Sharon’s SUV, so we would have more room to haul our treasures home. Great Idea from our point of view, bad idea from the husband’s point of view…now they can spend more money!
The sun is shinning and we have 175.6 miles to go and just think of all the stores we will see in those miles.
We arrived in Wimberley about 2:00 and had lunch and then began our shopping. There are many darling stores in downtown Wimberley.
I found these cups with “goats” on them.
One of the cute shops in Wimberley.
Here are some cute ideas we saw in some to the shops.
Another cute place.
Italian Restaurant
Then we found the wine shop and they were having wine tasting..can you imagine.
Bought this wonderful candle and several bottles of wine…couldn’t be rude after they let us taste all the wine, could we?
After a few more wonderful stores, we decided we should find our B & B and that is what we did after a while….
High Point Manor is delightful, different, peaceful and we had a huge cabin for just two ladies, There are animals everywhere, so you know I was in heaven.
The was the main Lodge, office Dinning room, and I think 6 rooms each with their own bath. There was also an office, kitchen and large living room with a huge Easter Tree.
This is the back of the lodge.
We got our key and headed to our cabin. We were in the Magnolia Cottage.
This was our Cottage in the trees. We had 2 bedrooms, a living room, kitchen and bath.
Plenty of room for us.
We ventured down the road about 1 mile for dinner and my brother and sister-in-law joined us. Great time had by all.
Time to head to Cottage and crash…Big Day tomorrow.
Breakfast in the Dinning Room, eggs, bacon, all kinds of toast, juices, fruit, cereal, bagels, …you get the idea.
Off to Wimberley Trade Days. We were to meet Dixie of French Lique and Candy of Candy Rock at 9:00 and any others that came. Candy’s mother was visiting her and she lives in Huntsville, over near us, and Candy’s neighbor Sandy. We all introduced our selves and Dixie gave each of us a little sachet pouch with lavender she had grown.
We decided that it was going to be hard to keep us together, so we would just meet back for lunch. My brother and sister-in-law also met us at lunch. A brief visit then off to do more shopping.
It was a beautiful day, there were 400+ vendors and lots of people.
Scenes first thing in the morning.
The flag shop was great, I bought several flags.
Boston Terrier named Dozer and I bought this wonderful Folk Art Painting for him
Five of these little ducks
Some wonderful beads..
We stopped and bought cheese , crackers and cookies and shared them with Jimmy and Charlotte for supper.
My Brother…
Oh Yes, we passed on this bargain
Outdoor table, but not chairs.
Slept like we were dead….Breakfast today
Lady on left celebrating 50th birthday and lady on right is Barbara Mayhew, owner of the B & B.
Dixie, Candy and Sandy
Well, I am tired again just writing about it.
Hope you weren’t to bored.
There were other little treasures, but I will show them to you when I do something with them.
HAPPY BLUE MONDAY……THINK I WILL GO REST
BARBARA

Looks like a fun trip and you picked up some great treasures! I definitely would've participated in the wine tasting.... :-)
Glad you found that lovely wine rack for you wine... you need to take pics of the wine, I'd love to see which ones you bought!
So funny.,.. that dilapidated table that you didn't buy... Well the vendor wasn't there so Candy has to go back next month... and buy it for her Mom! (it was only $10!)
Wimberley is so big... I didn't see half the stuff that you guys did... I need to start at gate 3 next time and work my way backwards...
so glad you made it back home safely... blessings. Dixie
I loved hearing about your trip and seeing your purchases, Barbara. I wish Wimberley was closer to Mississippi!
I love those little get-aways! Sounds like you really had a nice time. As a wine lover, I would have not passed the wine tasting either!

Oh wow...a marathon shopping trip! How Fun! It's been several years since I've travelled to Wimberly but it's such a cool little town!
I went to Warrenton on Friday and boy my legs are still sore from all that walking! There was EVEN a Purple Goat Lady there with a booth. I didn't remember you saying you had a booth but I asked her anyway if she Blogged. She said NO...I'm very computer illiterate so I knew it wasn't you. She was surprised there was ANOTHER Purple Goat Lady around. :)
what a wonder time you had, shopping and visting with family and new friends!
Barbara, all I can say is WOW! I love your fun post and all of the wonderful fun things you did. My dh was trying to talk to me and I didn't even hear him I was so engrossed in reading and viewing your great photos.
I envy your fabulous trip and your new found treasures. I have gone on buying trips with my sisters when I was in the antique business. What fun times they were. Lucky broke you. BIG smile.
Barbara, I want to thank you for your kind comments and faithful visits while we were going through the loss of our grandson's mom. This has been a hard couple of weeks. The boys are doing well and life is finally back to normal here in the mountains. Today I am adding you to my favorites at last. Thank you for adding me to yours. I love your blog and you.
Hugs...Jeanne
