Spinach Casserole

This restaurant recipe is flavorful, quick and easy.

1 pound lean ground beef or ground turkey or chicken

1 onion, chopped

Two 6 ounce cans of sliced mushrooms

1 clove of garlic or 1/8 teaspoon of garlic powder

1 teaspoon crushed oregano

One 16 ounce package of frozen spinach, chopped, thawed and squeezed

1 can of cream of celery soup

1 cup of sour cream

1 teaspoon salt

Pepper to taste

1 pound of Monterey Jack cheese, grated

Heat a skillet over medium heat, when the skillet is hot, brown meat and remove from heat and drain

Add the onion, mushrooms, garlic and spinach and mix

Combine the soup and sour cream in  9x13 baking pan

Add meat mixture and combine with sour cream mixture

Put cheese on top and bake in 375 degree oven for 35-40 minutes or until it is bubbling and hot throughout.

That’s all there is to it.

I don’t have pictures, one camera at Sharon’s house and the new one is not working.

Hope you have a great Sunday.

See Y’all

Barbara

That sounds great. I found your blog through Kat's. I will be back again.

Stop by my blog for a visit. Though I am relativity new to blogging, I am loving all my new friends.

I am giving away my first EVER BLOG PRIZE.
I have a gift basket business and it is the most requested gift over the last 15 years.

From the comments I have already received, appears to be something a little different and something anyone could use.

I have been so touched by the comments that I have decided to give 2 boxes . They will be the $100 deluxe size.

I want my blog to encourage others.

I have decided that giving is life at its BEST. The drawing will be Saturday!

Hi Barbara, I love your recipes and since my daughter is coming with her family for a week I am going to make both of them.

I wrote my post late and in fact fell asleep while writing. I couldn't believe my typos. All fixed now.

I re-read your goat post and fell in love with those babies all over again. Please keep us posted about them.

I am adding you to my favorites if I remember how. I am computer challenged believe me.

Have a great day.

Hugs...Jeanne
