Wow, What a Great Day!

I walked into Blue Bakers and there stood Cher in her Cowboy hat holding this sign.

welcome

I knew I had found a friend.  We had some soup and split a brownie and talked and talked.  We found we had many things in common.  Finally we decided we better go junkin.

 shopping

We went to  three and I made some purchases.  My prize was the sterling silver tea set in perfect condition for $20..Just what I needed, something else to clean and polish, but it looks so good.

I got 2 brass candle sticks to paint and 2 punch cups to glue on top to hold a candle, I will add some ribbon, etc.

Next was these 2 pieces by Andre.  I am not a collector of the blue and white pieces, but they were 2.00 each…what can I say.

I bought something else, but I will save it until I use it and show you the finished product.

After all the looking, shopping and buying, we went to Cher’s house….OMG, what a talented lady…It is cowboy up and it is beautiful and darling all rolled into one.  She has a workshop that is unbelievable with all kinds of equipment.   Believe me when I tell you she is talented.

About 3:30 we parted and I thought as I drove home, what a very nice day we had, 2 strangers at 11:15am and a friend at 4:00pm.

leaving

Cher has such a postive attitude about her newly found lump in her breast which is malignant.  Cher will, if anyone will, lick the cancer and live to be 100.

Cher, if you are reading this, I want you to know, I now count you as a friend and hope you feel the same.

Purple hugs,

Barbara

She's something else isn't she? If you get the chance, read her book, you can get to it off her sidebar. It's one heck of a ride!

P.S. I agree...Cher has enough Texas gumption to whup the tar out of anything that tries to get in her way!

Hello Barbara, thank you for stoping by my post today. Wow it look like you two ladies had an incredible journey to friendship, and memories to last till you unite again. That looked like so much fun, and I could go for a brownie right about now seeing as I have been on a diet for about 7 months now.

Sorry to hear about her tumor, I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers. I might be young however I suffered four years ago with a lump found in my breast as well, and went through many tests, when I was sent to the surgeon to find out more details on the lump, by the grace of God it was gone. It touches me every day I think about what could have been. God bless the both of you.

Cheers,
Heidi

Barbara, I'm a huge fan of blue and white, and I'm loving the piggie and frog. You sure get some beautiful blue skies in Texas! Please tell Cher I've said a prayer for her. She's lucky to have a supportive friend like you.

Hi thanks for stoping by my post today. I loved the Cherokee story when I read it. I thought it was so touching to hear how the Lord was put into the story. It gave me goose bumps. Glade you like it. Have a wonderful day.
