GOAT CHEESE RECIPE

CHAVRIE  STUFFED MUSHROOMS

MAKES 24 SERVINGS

Ingredients:

24  2-2 1/2 inch stuffing mushrooms

8 qz. loose Italian sausage

1/3 cup Italian style bread crumbs

1 pkg. 5.3 oz Chavrie Pyramid  plain or basil and roasted garlic cheese

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Clean mushrooms with soft brush and remove  stems.  Chop stems in food processor.  Mix sausage, bread crumbs, 2/3 pkg of cheese and chopped mushroom stems.

Stuff each mushroom cap with about 1 tablespoon of sausage mix.  Place on baking try and bake 15 to 18 mintues, or until sausage is cooked  and mushrooms are tender.

Arrange on serving platter and top each one with a dollop of cheese and sprinkle with chopped parsley.

Hi Barbara,
I just love stuffed mushrooms, My sister n law makes them for family dinners. I can just taste them now.
So wonderful for you to have your daughter come for a visit, such a special time.
