If you have men who will exclude any of God's creatures from the shelter of compassion and pity, you will have men who will deal likewise with their fellow men"
St. Francis is one of my favorites. A good friend of mine is a Franciscan priest and he really introduced me to St. Francis. In fact, a few years ago, my husband believed he had an encounter with St. Francis. The story is quite long, but my friend the priest said he believed that it could have quite possibly happened. One of those God moments...........
Barbara, love this post. Hope you are doing well. Isabel says you are so right...."Stitches are not fun, you can't do anything." She has been wanting to go out back and swim. Out of the question for now. She is on antibiotics for two weeks, so we will probably try to keep her out of the sun for that time period. Could cause a sunburn. I have a post set up for Amy that I will post later this evening. I called and Richard said Debbie is finally resting. She has been down for about an hour now. Amy had a restless night. The pain medicine is not working like it used to. She is taking pain medicine about every 2 hours now. The surgery couldn't be coming at a better time. God is on her side. I know this. Take care my friend. I will make a big post tomorrow as soon as Debbie calls me and gives me the information. Love Always, Sherry
Barb, St. Francis is probably my favorite saint. I have some friends who are nuns in St. Augustine, and they gave us a statue of him which is so special. His life was an amazing one.
Hi Barbara, the St. Frances quote is thought provoking. He is one of the saints who was admired the most in my opinion. Thank you for your visit. I am late getting to my blogging friends today. I still have to do my blue Mon. post. Yikes, where does the time go.
